Accountabilities

To manage the business development activities across HAACO which includes conducting in-depth market analysis, identifying development opportunities, managing new business opportunities, and enriching business partnerships, to support the long-term growth of HAACO, its business units “BUs”, Support Units “SUs”, in addition to other HAACO subsidiaries as requested by HAACO’s top management.

 

Strategic Business Development

 

· Initiates periodic research related to HAACO portfolio industries; including national, regional, and international landscapes, trends, and government initiatives

· Analyses internal and external business environment, and identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, to suggest recommendations and response to market needs

· Provides relevant and timely analysis and findings for internal stakeholders (e.g., BU heads, board members, etc.) to support their decision-making process and knowledge sharing

· Identifies and recommends mid/long term business opportunities to support business growth and expansion

· Contributes to all activities related to HAACO and BUs strategy setting and revision

 

 

Opportunity Analysis

 

· Conducts proper analysis of potential opportunities (JVs, new industries, new lines of services, initiatives, etc.) to highlight the feasibility, ROI, and supports the related stakeholders to take an informed decision (go/no go)

· Communicates new opportunities to relevant stakeholders to confirm their appetite, availability, and capacity

· Keeps proper communication plan with relevant stakeholders on opportunity status

· Forms a task force -if needed- including technical, financial, and legal teams to prepare the needed proposals and contracts

· Ensures a smooth handover of the new opportunity to the executing party (PMO/BU heads) upon sealing of contracts and readiness for execution

· Represents HAACO in pitching and negotiating business opportunities, M&A and due diligence practices

 

 

Business Partners Relationship Management & Building

 

· Designs and executes a relationship enrichment strategy with current business partners

· Designs and executes network expansion strategy for potential partnerships and relationship building in alignment with HAACO and its BUs strategic goals

· Represents HAACO as needed by attending events, exhibitions, and seminars regionally and internationally

· Oversees HAACO branding and marketing activities conducted by external resources (e.g., marketing agencies).

· BUs Support

· Establishes and manages an effective working relation with BU heads

· Acts like an advisory arm to the BU heads in any business development related activities

· Proactively provides growth advice to BU heads and facilitates access to required resources or networks

 

 

Other Tasks

 

· Manages the day-to-day operations of the department and facilitates related work processes

· Leads, develops, and empowers the team to boost productivity and instill healthy cultural dynamics

· Handles HR line management responsibilities as directed by the HR department (e.g., onboarding, off boarding, initial hiring process, etc.)

· Performs other related duties or assignments as requested by the Direct Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or any related field.

 

 

Minimum Experience:

 

Minimum of 8 years but less than 10 years. Experience with holding groups is an advantage.
